A TOOL BOX FOR HOUSING IN COLORADO COMMUNITIES
Rural and urban downtowns have a range of challenges that need creative solutions. Colorado downtowns focus on how to utilize different programs, tools, and tax increment finance to increase affordable, attainable, or workforce housing. The panel will explore three questions for each of the projects:
- What was the community goal for housing?
- What was the approach and tools used to get the project done?
- What were the lessons learned and adjustments made for future affordable housing programming?
Downtown Colorado, Inc. (DCI) is pleased to showcase a series of community initiatives from vision to completed projects that highlight solutions that Tax Increment Financing makes possible.
