Mentorship Program

Through our Mentorship Program, we match experienced member practitioners with members interested in growth and development based on similar interests and specific needs. The program’s mission is to enhance the economic development profession in the State of Colorado by facilitating growth through professional development, leadership opportunities, and connection to the economic development community in Colorado. Through these connections, we share our collective knowledge, benefiting economic development efforts across the state.

The program begins every year at our annual Drive | Lead | Succeed Conference in October. Mentor’s and Mentee’s will meet for the first time, face-to-face. From there, Mentor’s and Mentee’s are charged with meeting at least three times through out that year.

Applicants can include those starting out in the economic development field or seasoned professionals new to the state or the region. Submit an application, and EDCC will work to find the best mentor for you in our network.

We are actively recruiting Mentor’s. If you are interested in becoming a Mentor, please follow the button below and fill out our short questionnaire. We will pair you up with the Mentee looking for your skills and knowledge!

EDCC New Member Networking/Conference Orientation

October 9, 2019 | 1 – 2 p.m.
Cheyenne Mountain Resort

If you are new to economic development and/or to EDCC, or just want to meet new people in a small setting, then this session is intended for you. Join other EDCC members to network and learn more about EDCC and its goal to help you lay a strong foundation for your own professional development growth and provide resources to support your needs along the way. You will be introduced to EDCC member representatives from throughout the state that can share helpful tips on training opportunities, getting the most out of your conference experience and general economic development best practices based on their own experiences. Join us and help strengthen your professional support system.

I’m so glad I took advantage of EDCC’s Mentor/Mentee program. The match is a great fit and my mentor has offered insightful guidance, encouragement, and support along the way. I know my personal and professional development is enhanced as a result this relationship, and I hope the same is true for my mentor.
