Course Overview
The BEDC course provides a substantial introduction to the theory and fundamentals of comprehensive economic development. The formal instruction emphasizes beneficial development that can result from the constructive actions of local leaders and revolves around five major themes: innovative community development concepts; regional economics; basic factors in development; techniques of economic development and trends in economic development.

Colorado is moving forward with our annual Basic Economic Development Course. This course will feature live, interactive discussions with instructors and peers. Special discount pricing and scholarships are offered for EDCC members!

This course will be delivered over one-week in June. Pricing includes the course book, instructors, and accreditation by IEDC. Anyone interested in becoming certified needs to complete this course before moving on. A certificate of completion will be provided to all those who attended and participated in each section of this training.
