This year’s forum is definitely going to be different. We had already planned to have a renowned futurist, Dave Nelsen, as the keynote speaker. With the current pandemic restrictions, we will still have him, but we will be doing our presentations virtually. The event will also combine with the Pikes Peak Small Business Development Center for a state of small business report. Aikta Marcoulier, Executive Director of the SBDC, will kick off the event with an update on small business in our region and how our local firms can increase resiliency. Tatiana Bailey, Executive Director of the UCCS Economic Forum, will give an overview of the economic conditions in our city, state, and nation in the context of COVID-19. Our keynote, Dave Nelsen, will be the final presenter, and he will discuss how the pandemic will permanently change many aspects of the world as we know it. The event will also have a quick mixology lesson from our local distiller, Lee Spirits, so that we can enjoy a virtual happy hour. There will be a Q&A at the end of the event (with cocktails in hand!).
