Rachel Landis is a sustainability professional and community organizer with 10 years of experience developing and supporting regional food systems and food security. In her current role as the Executive Director of the Good Food Collective, Ms. Landis oversees regional food system coordination & collaboration, the development of additional end markets for local producers, an agricultural workforce development project, and a food security & health equity initiative that focuses on connecting food access partners with fresh, healthy, local food. Rachel is passionate about ensuring that Southwestern and rural Colorado actively engage in state and local policy and serves on the Colorado Food Policy Leaders Network, is the Southwestern Regional Coordinator for Hunger Free Colorado, and is a Core Member of the SW United Way’s Food Security Action Team. In 2021, she was recognized as the Southwestern Colorado Woman in Business Award for her work in the agricultural sector. In 2017, Rachel was elected to the La Plata Electric Association Board of Directors and continues to serve her community in this capacity. When not engaged in these pursuits, Rachel is an avid participant in “the Durango lifestyle”. She loves skiing, biking, running, and all things outside.
