The Economic Development Council of Colorado (EDCC) is set to bring the largest statewide contingency of Economic Development stakeholders to Beaver Creek, October 13-16, 2024

On October 13th, economic and workforce development stakeholders from across the state, elected officials, and local business leaders, will gather at The Park Hyatt in Beaver Creek for the Economic Development Council of Colorado’s (EDCC) 2024 Drive|Lead|Succeed Conference (https://edcconline.org/2024-dls-conference) (click for more information and to register).

The EDCC, in partnership with the Rocky Mountain Workforce Development Association (RMWDA), will host the premier statewide economic development event of the year, supported by title sponsor Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) and other public and private sponsors. This gathering brings together economic and workforce professionals to address Colorado’s most pressing challenges. With EDCC connecting public and private sectors and RMWDA representing workforce and business development experts, the conference will provide the knowledge, tools, and connections needed to foster a thriving economy, according to EDCCs Executive Director, Kim Woodworth.

The conference will feature industry experts, thought leaders, and entrepreneurs, offering interactive panels, workshops, and networking sessions. Attendees will gain insights into the latest trends and best practices in economic and workforce development, helping them stay ahead in driving responsible growth and innovation in Colorado’s evolving economy.

“EDCCs Drive|Lead|Succeed Conference is designed to strengthen Colorado’s economy by uniting economic development professionals, business leaders, government officials, and others. I encourage attendees to connect with newcomers, network with both urban and rural peers, engage in thought-provoking sessions, and discover new resources to strengthen your work and contribute to a stronger Colorado,” said John Bristol, EDCC’s 2024 Board Chair, and Executive Director, for Routt County Economic Development Partnership.

Attendees will engage in:

  • CONFERENCE SESSIONS will tackle key issues affecting Colorado’s economic competitiveness. Sessions will focus on critical factors like workforce development, site readiness, and industry clusters, which are vital to driving Colorado’s long-term competitiveness.
  • EDIE AWARDS DINNER & CEREMONY (https://edcconline.org/edie-awards), celebrating the achievements of economic development stakeholders. Unique Aspen tree-inspired awards, crafted by Confluence Woodcraft, will be presented at the Gerald R. Ford Hall, with the generous support from BNSF Railway.
