Matthew Broker, MS, MBA, is the Regional Veterans Employment Representative for the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment. A Marine Combat Veteran, Mr. Broker served two tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.
After his military service, he transitioned to a civilian career, earning a Bachelor’s in Business Administration (2007) and a Master’s in Business Management (2008) while working as a Fleet Maintenance Manager for the City and County of Denver. In 2011, he furthered his education with another Master’s in Business Administration.
Beginning in 2010, Mr. Broker dedicated his career to supporting disabled veterans. He worked as a case manager and VA Benefits Counselor for various non-profit organizations. In 2014, after a year as a Disabled Veterans Outreach Program (DVOP) specialist, he took on his current role.
With 11 years of experience in workforce development and as a Certified Workforce Development Specialist, Mr. Broker consults with businesses at local, regional, and national levels, providing strategic guidance on veteran recruitment and hiring to address global workforce needs.
