Manuel Ugues, Regional Director of SERCO of Texas, for over 14 years, responsibilities include to lead and inspire a team of over 300 employees to serve its seven (7) WIB regions in Texas communities (over 50 counties out of 254 Texas counties) to help elevate the economic and workforce environment through our proven workforce development strategies and efforts. As a leader in providing results for improvement in workforce development, youth programs, one-stop workforce centers, childcare services, and many other critical economic development initiatives, Manuel is committed to facilitating our company’s and community’s resources to help improve opportunity and equity for all populations.
Through our parent organization, SER Metro Jobs for Progress, Inc. our mission is to advance people, grow businesses, and strengthen communities through education, employment and economic development. Our organization has been recognized by the Texas Workforce Commission through our multiple service agreements with Local Workforce Boards for our success in childcare management services, work ready initiatives, youth programs, and services to industry for employment recruitment and placement.
A graduate of Texas A&I University in Kingsville, Texas, with a Bachelor’s degree Business Management with a focus on Marketing. Manuel is an Aspen Fellow through the Alamo Workforce Leadership Program in partnership with the Aspen Institute. He also serves as a Board Member of the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals.
