Jennifer Hagan Dier, Manufacturer's Edge

 

Jennifer Hagan-Dier is the Vice President and COO for Manufacturer’s Edge, the NIST MEP Center for the state of Colorado. In this role, Hagan-Dier is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the MEP Center. Hagan-Dier leads the teams responsible for working with and delivering services that generate economic impacts for Colorado manufacturers. Hagan-Dier works with the CEO to support the organization at the local, state, and federal levels including managing partnerships, NIST MEP reporting and relations with Manufacturing USA Institutes. Hagan-Dier is a key advisor on business and financial decisions.

Prior to joining Manufacturer’s Edge in 2020, Hagan-Dier worked as the Director of Outreach and Engagement for the NIST MEP National Network Leadership Team, a team made up of NIST MEP leadership, the MEP Center Leadership Team, and other stakeholders. ln that role, Hagan-Dier worked directly with NIST MEP and MEP Centers to build and expand connections between individual MEP Centers, NIST MEP and other stakeholders identifying opportunities to leverage Network resources to increase the number of manufacturers served and the economic impacts for all manufacturers served by the fifty-one (51) individual MEP Centers.

From 2013-2013-2019, Hagan-Dier led the Tennessee MEP Center (TMEP) as the Director at the University of Tennessee Center for Industrial Services (UT CIS). As the TMEP Director, Hagan-Dier was responsible for leading statewide outreach for consulting and training service delivery to manufacturers, industry, and entrepreneurs and business development activities. Hagan-Dier managed TMEP’s connection to state, regional and national partners and served on the MEP Center Leadership Team working to connect TMEP to NIST MEP and the MEP National Network.

Prior to working with the NIST MEP National Network, Hagan-Dier had extensive experience in economic development, government relations, tax incentives and policy, and environmental law in both the private and public sectors.

Hagan-Dier received her Juris Doctor with honors from DePaul University College of Law in 2001 and a Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Tennessee in 1997.
