The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) announced this week on World Trade Day that Industrial Cooling Solutions, Inc. (ICS) was recognized as the winner of the 2022 Governor’s Award for Excellence in Exporting.
Established in 1970, the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Exporting recognizes the role of international business in economic growth. With 95 percent of the world’s consumers living outside of the United States, Colorado exporters are a vital part of the state’s economy. ICS, founded in 2003, is a customer-focused industrial cooling tower engineering, design and construction company that provides cooling solutions for biomass powerplants, geothermal powerplants, refining and chemical plants as well as other critical infrastructure facilities. The Lakewood, Colorado company generates the majority of its revenue through international sales and continues to innovate, expanding in current markets and penetrating new ones.
ICS’s primary business base is exporting cooling towers and servicing expertise to Japanese and Southeast Asian markets. These export sales provide high-paying engineering and technical jobs in Colorado, primarily in the Front Range area. Additionally, ICS is an equal opportunity employer that focuses on being “true global citizens” with core beliefs of value, service, quality and integrity.
The Governor’s Award for Excellence in Exporting recognizes companies who have exported products or services outside of Colorado for two years or more, are new to international exporting or expanding into a new market and are headquartered in or have at least 50% of their employees based in Colorado. World Trade Day is May 24.
