CWDC Celebrates Economic Development Week

CWDC Celebrates EDW

This week the CWDC is joining the Economic Development Council of Colorado (EDCC), Downtown Colorado, Inc. (DCI), and other partners across Colorado in recognizing Economic Development Week. Workforce and economic development go hand in hand to drive growth and create thriving communities, and as we celebrate Economic Development Week, we recognize the interconnectedness of our work.

Building and Understanding the Talent Pipeline

Workforce and economic development are crucial partners in building a strong Colorado economy that works for all. To aid this work, the annual Talent Pipeline Report shares data-informed analysis and opportunities to enhance our talent pipeline.

Sector Partnerships Support Economic Development

Sector partnerships enable regional, industry-led collaboration in Colorado. When employers work with public partners, these partnerships help focus limited resources on industries that are major job providers and allow for a comprehensive focus on the workforce and economic development needed in a regional economy.

Job Quality Improves Colorado’s Economy

From creating job opportunities to fostering innovation, businesses are key to a thriving community. Increasing job quality can lead to even stronger businesses and improved quality of life for workers. Quality jobs have been shown to better attract talented workers, reduce turnover, and increase employee engagement and productivity while improving a company’s operations and profitability.
