Clif Harald leads First Flatiron Consulting, a firm specializing in entrepreneurship-led economic development, professional development and education, and economic vitality planning and management. His clients have included higher ed institutions, sovereign tribal nations, school districts, and state and local governments.
Clif developed and teaches a graduate level course on economic development and resilient communities at the University of Colorado Boulder. He speaks often at economic development conferences and programs, as a university guest lecturer, and at industry association conferences. He blogs regularly, and serves as a mentor for entrepreneurs and mid-career economic development professionals.
Clif previously led economic development programs in Denver metro communities for more than two decades, including a dozen years as Executive Director of the Boulder Economic Council, the economic development affiliate of the Boulder Chamber. His work there focused on innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem building, support for startups and existing businesses, and scaling key industry clusters in the region.
