Christina Oxley, Regional Business Services Coordinator for North West Colorado, Colorado Rural Consortium

Christina Oxley

Christina Oxley is a certified workforce and economic development professional with more than two decades of economic development experience, including organization start-up, policy development and strategic planning. With credentials from the Institute of Organization Management, she served as the president of the Craig Chamber of Commerce board of directors before spending 12 years as the organization’s chief executive.

A former award-winning journalist and newspaper editor, Oxley has been recognized for her reporting on economic development, business and education issues, and earned national distinction for investigative journalism. She continues to serve as a FEMA-certified public information officer.

As the business services coordinator for the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment’s Northwest Workforce Area, Oxley focuses on community outreach, business education, partnerships with economic and community development organizations, and labor market policy and data analysis. Prior to accepting her current position, Oxley served for nine years on her region’s Workforce Investment Board.

Oxley is a Northwest Colorado native who enjoys camping and spelunking with her husband and three daughters, playing competitive-league volleyball, reading and exploring a love/hate relationship with golf.
