Dana Anderson is an experienced education professional and dedicated advocate for student success, currently serving as the Assistant State Director for Quality Programming in the Community College System. With a rich background in both business and education, Dana has spent nearly two decades shaping and guiding the careers of students and educators across multiple sectors.
Dana began her career in merchandising and purchasing, working for major companies like Macy’s in Washington state. Her passion for business and education led her to Monarch High School in Louisville, Colorado, where she served as the Business and Marketing teacher and DECA advisor.
Dana transitioned into a state role, when she joined the Community College System as the Business and Marketing Program Director. In this role, she collaborated with community and business leaders to enhance educational offerings and foster industry partnerships. Dana now holds the position of Assistant State Director for Quality Programming. She previously served as the Business, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Finance Program Director, where she oversaw the development and implementation of curriculum designed to meet the needs of diverse learners.
A passionate advocate for Career and Technical Education (CTE), Dana is deeply committed to helping students discover their purpose and achieve their goals. She believes that teachers are the key to student success and that quality programming is essential to empowering learners for the future workforce. In her free time, Dana enjoys biking and spending quality time with her family and golden retriever.
