Lucas is an experienced economic development professional with a passion for improving the social well-being of others through public service. Lucas grew up in Greeley, CO, is a CSU alumnus, and currently lives in Denver with his wife and two pets. He has over 15 years of professional experience working for nonprofits, government agencies, startups and private entities where he developed skills in leadership, strategic thinking, relationship building, and data analysis.
In his current position, Lucas serves as the Economic Development Manager for Adams County, where he oversees the various programs and services for business attraction and retention while leading a team of four. Previously, Lucas worked for the Town of Erie as the Economic Development Manager where he focused on bolstering the entrepreneurial and small business ecosystem, downtown redevelopment, and mixed-use greenfield development. Lucas also worked for five years as the Senior Product Manager at Zayo Group where he oversaw a $60M annual revenue stream. Lastly, he is the co-founder of Fair Fiber, a social enterprise that sustainably and ethically brokers alpaca fiber. In his free time, he enjoys being in the mountains to ski and get out in nature.
