Basic Economic Development | Courses in the West

Course Overview

The BEDC course provides a substantial introduction to the theory and fundamentals of comprehensive economic development. The formal instruction emphasizes beneficial development that can result from the constructive actions of local leaders and revolves around five major themes: innovative community development concepts; regional economics; basic factors in development; techniques of economic development and trends in economic development.

As a reminder, the Colorado Basic Economic Development Course for 2020 has been canceled. New Mexico, one of EDCC’s tri-state partners, is now offering this course online. The course will be delivered online over six weeks, and the course will feature live, interactive discussions with instructors and peers. Special pricing for Colorado practitioners is available!
