Brian joined Region 9 Economic Development District of SW CO, Inc. in early 2018, after spending the previous fifteen years as a commercial lender in community banking in Chaffee and La Plata Counties. Joining a non-profit lender was a natural transition as the mission was in alignment with Brian’s personal desires to find creative ways to assist small business owners as they strive to achieve their dreams. As the Deputy Director, Brian is responsible for the management and growth of the loan portfolio which in turn, helps create jobs and economic vitality in the regions he serves.
Brian grew up in upstate New York and graduated Cum Laude from Siena College, Albany, New York. Shortly after graduating he relocated to Buena Vista, Colorado. He has also been a member of the Salida Rotary Club, Salida Lions Club, and the Durango High Noon Rotary. He has been a Board Member for Durango Nature Studies, Durango Youth Baseball and The River Church. Brian currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Economic Development Council of Colorado (EDCC) and the Colorado Growth and Revitalization Fund (CGRF). He serves in advisory role for The Economic Development Agency (EDA) Community of Practice Advisory Committee, on the Collaborative Forest Landscape Restoration Partnership’s (CFLRP) Wood By-products Committee and is a certified counselor through the Small Business Development Center (SBDC).
