BEAVER CREEK, COLORADO (Oct. 16, 2024) – The Economic Development Council of Colorado (EDCC) proudly announced the recipients of the 2024 EDIE Awards during its annual Drive|Lead|Succeed Conference held in Beaver Creek, Colorado, from October 13-16, 2024.
As the premier accolade in Colorado’s economic development sector, the EDIE Awards recognize outstanding achievements across various sectors, including communities, organizations, companies, and legislators. Since 1989, EDCC has honored over 200 award winners. This year, 10 exemplary entities were recognized. This year’s ‘Economic Development Partnership of the Year’ Award was presented to Elizabeth Garner, State Demographer, Colorado Department of Local Affairs.
This award celebrates the recipients unwavering dedication and multi-year commitment to enhancing Colorado’s economic vitality through strategic collaboration with the Economic Development Council of Colorado. As State Demographer, Elizabeth’s leadership has been instrumental in fostering initiatives that attract, retain, and expand primary employers, ensuring a sustainable and prosperous future for communities across the state. She received the ‘Economic Development Partnership of the Year’ award for her exceptional contributions in the following areas:
