Patrick Garrett serves as the Program Manager for the Rural Economic Development Initiative (REDI) at the Colorado Department of Local Affairs, where he oversees a portfolio of state-funded grants given to rural Colorado communities which create jobs and diversify rural economies. In addition to this role, Patrick brings nearly 10 years of experience in areas such nonprofit program management, small business management, and international development. He is also a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV), having served in Guatemala from 2017-2019.

Patrick holds a Master’s Degree in International Affairs from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver, with concentrations in policy analysis and qualitative research methodologies. He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and International Studies from Colorado State University.
