Lee Boughey is Vice President of Member Experience at Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, where he leads engagement with the wholesale power supplier’s member electric cooperatives and public power districts across Colorado, Nebraska, New Mexico and Wyoming, supporting reliable, affordable and responsible power to rural communities across the West.
Lee brings extensive economic development and energy experience to his role. He previously served with the Colorado Governor’s Office of Business Development, and the cities of Westminster and Lakewood, to attract investment and grow economies. His career connects energy, policy and community development to create opportunities for growth, including at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and as cochair of the Colorado Energy Coalition within the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado Boulder and a master’s degree in Environmental Policy from the University of Denver, academic foundations that reinforce his focus on the intersection of energy, policy, and economic development.
