Forge Campus Honored with Company of the Year Award at EDCC’s 2025 EDIE Awards
Pueblo, CO — October 28, 2025 — The Economic Development Council of Colorado (EDCC) presented the Company of the Year Award to Forge Campus during its annual Drive|Lead|Succeed Conference in Pueblo. The EDIE Awards recognize excellence in economic development and celebrate leaders and communities shaping Colorado’s economic future.
Forge Campus was recognized for its transformative impact on both the local economy and community. The company completed a major industrial revitalization, investing over $11 million to convert a largely vacant former manufacturing facility into a thriving collaborative ecosystem for advanced industry. This project significantly increased tenant occupancy from 15% to 73%, attracting more than 50 diverse technology businesses and generating a substantial economic surge.
Beyond physical redevelopment, Forge Campus provides innovative support for growing businesses, offering flexible lease structures and dedicated staff who assist tenants with capital, workforce, and other operational needs. Their approach ensures that early-stage companies can scale sustainably, strengthening the region’s economic foundation.
Forge Campus is also deeply engaged in community and industry initiatives, hosting public events such as free concerts and weekly toddler story times, while actively participating in economic and legislative organizations. Their leadership exemplifies a commitment to both economic growth and civic responsibility, serving as a model for business-driven community impact across Colorado.
“Forge Campus demonstrates how private enterprise can be a powerful catalyst for both economic and community transformation,” said Adam Kruegar, EDCC Board Chair. “Their ability to reimagine space, empower entrepreneurs, and create opportunity exemplifies the very spirit of economic development in Colorado.”
“This award celebrates more than a successful redevelopment — it honors a company that has built a thriving ecosystem for innovation,” said Kim Woodworth, EDCC Executive Director. “Forge Campus shows what’s possible when business and community grow together with shared purpose and vision.”
Hosted annually by EDCC, the EDIE Awards honor the people, programs, and partnerships that exemplify innovation, collaboration, and impact in economic development across Colorado.
