In a recent article posted by McKinsey & Company on Navigating the labor mismatch in US logistics and supply chains, the demand for labor has outpaced the demand for supply. As the US economy recovers, companies are facing the “Great Attrition,” coupled with increased competition for labor. The article also argues that the labor mismatch has pushed private-sector wages to more than double pre-pandemic growth rates, but positions remain unfilled.
