Basic Economic Development | Courses in the West

Course Overview

The BEDC course provides a substantial introduction to the theory and fundamentals of comprehensive economic development. The formal instruction emphasizes beneficial development that can result from the constructive actions of local leaders and revolves around five major themes: innovative community development concepts; regional economics; basic factors in development; techniques of economic development and trends in economic development.

COLORADO BASIC ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COURSE

Colorado is moving forward with our annual Basic Economic Development Course. In the past, this course was delivered over a five-day period. Since this will be virtual, we have decided to extend this course over a few weeks in June, and the course will feature live, interactive discussions with instructors and peers. Special Discount pricing offered for Colorado-based practitioners!

This course will be delivered over a few-week period in June. Pricing includes the course book, instructors, and accreditation by IEDC. Anyone interested in becoming certified needs to complete this course before moving on. A certificate of completion will be provided to all those who attended and participated in each section of this virtual training.
